Libertador luxury hotel opening in Cusco

Libertador Peru Hotel Chain, owned by Brescia Group, reported that the soft opening of its luxury resort Urubamba Luxury Collection, located in the Inca's Sacred Valley in Cusco, will take place in October or November this year.

At the beginning of 2009, the company said the hotel was expected to open on August 1 but due to several factors, such as the purchase of environmentally friendly finishing materials, the opening date had to be changed.
They expect to invest US$ 30 million in this resort especially designed for luxury-seeking tourists, who would spend an average of US$ 350 per day. This is part of a franchise agreement with the US Starwood Hotels & Worldwide Resorts, which includes a 200-million-dollar investment in the remodeling of Libertador Cusco Hotel and the construction of other two hotels in Urumbamba (Cusco) and San Isidro (Lima). The company's general manager Jorge Melero said that the Urubamba Luxury Collection is in the construction phase but in August or September they will complete civil works.
The hotel will have a total of 128 40-square-meter rooms decorated with local materials creating a truly original vibe.
Starwood Hotels & Worldwide Resorts, is owner, operator, and franchisor of hotels and resorts such as Saint Regis, Luxury Collection, Westin, Le Meridien, Sheraton, Four Points by Sheraton, Aloft and Element.
